Privacy Policy
PrepMind turns your CV and a job ad into an interview preparation plan. That only works if you trust us with your CV — so this policy is written to be read, not skimmed. The short version: we collect what the product needs and nothing else, we never sell your data, we never use it to train models, and you can delete it.
Who we are
PrepMind is run by Upspace Software Technologies LLP (LLPIN ACE-6836), 4A, Pari Nagar, Lower Canal Road, Ambattur, Chennai, Tamil Nadu 600053, India. For anything in this policy — questions, requests, complaints — email us at support@upspacesoftware.com.
What we collect
We collect four kinds of information, all of it provided by you or generated by your use of the service:
- Account details — your email address, and a password if you sign up with one. If you sign in with Google or GitHub, we receive your name, email address and avatar from that provider.
- Waitlist details — if you join the waitlist, your email address and which form on the page you used. After signing up we ask a few optional questions (your target role, when your interview is, your experience, what you spend on prep today, and what you find hardest). Every one is optional and skipping them changes nothing.
- Content you provide — your CV, the job ads you paste, and the answers you submit, once those features are available to you. This content exists to build your plan and grade your answers, and for nothing else.
- Security and usage data — your IP address, held briefly (about a day) to rate-limit abusive traffic, and server logs of requests. Logs never contain your raw email address; identifiers are cryptographically hashed first.
- Analytics data — which pages you view, how far you scroll, and which buttons you press, collected through Google Analytics so we can tell which parts of the site are useful. This is measurement of behaviour on the site, not an attempt to identify you.
How we use it
We use your information to build and update your preparation plan, to operate and secure the service, and — if you are on the waitlist — to send you one email when your seat opens.
After the interview date you set, we email you to ask how it went: one email, at most one reminder, and one more only if you told us you were still waiting to hear. What you tell us (the outcome and the topics covered) shapes your next plan. An offer is recorded, but it never changes how we rate your skills.
If you tick “Share the topics, anonymously”, the topics you list (matched to our skill names — never your own words or the questions) may be shown to other learners preparing for the same company. A topic is shown only once at least three different learners have shared it, so it cannot be traced to you.
We do not sell your data. We do not share your CV or your progress with anyone. We do not use your content to train models, ours or anybody else’s.
AI processing
Building your plan involves sending your CV and job ad to an AI model provider, and grading your answers involves the same. That content is sent solely to produce your plan and feedback, under agreements that prohibit the provider from using it to train their models.
Your CV is read by Anthropic’s Claude models. We send the file only to have it read; we do not keep the file itself. What we keep is the list of skills and experience found in it (job titles and years, never your contact details), which you can review, correct and delete.
Where your data lives
Data is stored with Supabase (database and authentication) and the site runs on Cloudflare (hosting and server logs). Your CV and job ads are read by Anthropic (AI processing). Interview check-in emails are sent by Resend. Analytics is processed by Google (Google Analytics, via Firebase). All five act as processors for us; none may use your data for their own purposes.
Cookies
We set the cookies needed to keep you signed in (authentication session cookies), and Google Analytics sets its own cookies — named _ga and similar — to recognise a returning browser and count a visit once rather than twice.
Analytics cookies tell us which pages get read, how far down people scroll, and which buttons get pressed. We use that to decide what to build and fix. There are no advertising cookies on this site, we do not run ad-personalisation on this data, and we do not use it to identify you as an individual.
Retention and deletion
Account data is kept for as long as you have an account. Rate-limiting records are deleted after about a day. Waitlist addresses are kept until you join or ask to be removed. Analytics records are retained by Google for a limited period under that product’s own retention settings.
You can delete your CV data — everything we read from it — at any time from the onboarding screen (“Delete my CV data”), or by emailing support@upspacesoftware.com. Deleting your account removes your profile and content with it.
Your rights
You can ask us for a copy of the data we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Email support@upspacesoftware.com and we will act on it. Depending on where you live you may have further statutory rights; nothing in this policy limits them.
Children
PrepMind is a career tool and is not directed at children. Do not use the service if you are under 16.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, the new version appears here with an updated date at the top. If a change meaningfully reduces your rights, we will tell account holders by email first.
